Donate a Vehicle

Donating a vehicle to Rides for Refugees is a quick and easy way to get an unwanted car, SUV, van, truck, motorcycle, or boat off your hands while supporting a worthy cause. The tax-deductible value of your vehicle may be much more than you would get if you traded it in at a dealership or sold it yourself—with no hassle, haggling, or delay. And you’ll get the satisfaction of knowing your donation will help a refugee or refugee family access transportation.

Anywhere in the United States: Start a vehicle donation online, or call 844-503-RIDE (7433) today! (Note: Calls are handled on our behalf by our nonprofit partner, CARS. Just tell them you want to donate to Rides for Refugees.)

In Northern Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, D.C.: If your car, SUV, or minivan is in good working condition or needs minor repairs, please contact us (hello@ridesforrefugees.org) to arrange a pick up by our volunteers. If your vehicle is a truck, boat, camper, motorcycle and/or is not in good working order, please Start a vehicle donation online, or call 844-503-RIDE (7433) and tell them you’d like to donate to Rides for Refugees.

  • Venmo: @RidesforRefugees. On Venmo, we accept regular currency as well as Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

  • PayPal: www.PayPal.Me/RidesforRefugees. On PayPal, you can donate and also create charity fundraisers for Rides for Refugees, or set up $1 donations at checkout on all your PayPal purchases.

  • Corporate giving and grants: Please contact us to arrange corporate giving and grants, including car donations by dealerships.
